Hey, Folks—

Greetings from Princeton, NJ.  I hope this finds you well.

After a long email hiatus during which I finished my first semester as a Sociology PhD student at Princeton, I’m back letting you know that positive things continue to progress on the book front:

Several publications have reviewed Under the Boards and these reviews can be found on the book’s website at http://undertheboards.com/reviews.html.  There are a couple of forthcoming reviews that I’ll let you know about as they become available.

In November, my publisher, The University of Nebraska Press, submitted Under the Boards for the NASSH Book Award sponsored by the North American Society for Sport History.  Keep ya fingers crossed!

The University of Nebraska Press included in its Fall 2007 newsletter a little write-up and action photo of the May 10, 2007 NYC Book Release Party at Brooklyn's K Studio that many of you glamourously attended.

Several university Sociology and History courses at schools such as Wake Forest University, University of Memphis, University of Colorado-Boulder, and University of Denver have included Under the Boards in their syllabi.  The book has also been used in high school courses.  I’m hopeful it will continue catching on in academia.

I’d appreciate your continuing to spread the word to family, friends, and colleagues about Under the Boards and I very much welcome any input into outreach.

Thank you for your continuous support and I wish you the very best with all that you do and to those whom you love.

                   Take care,

Jeff
