Scalapeño was featured on the Parleys newsletter! Very cool, and who knows, maybe it'll help us attract even more awesome international speakers next year...?

Parleys Experience: Entwicklertag 2013

Every month we'd like to share the experience of the Parleys platform. In July Entwicklertag posted all their talks on there personal channel using the Parleys Publisher and combining YouTube videos with their presentation slides.

Ben Romberg: "For this year's Entwicklertag we were looking for a platform to not only host our videos, but also show the slides side-by-side. Parleys was one of the few platforms allowing this without having to go through time-consuming video editing. We were already used to upload our videos to YouTube, and adding the slides on Parleys was a very easy extra step at the end of our editing workflow, thanks to Parleys' easy to use publisher."

Mail it to our marketing division and maybe your channel will be promoted in the newsletter.

Embed your entire Parleys channel

Tired of sending your visitors/fans/viewers to an external website to view your presentations? Wouldn't it be great if you could embed all of your Parleys presentations in your own website?

The Enterprise Channel embed feature allows you to integrate not only one presentation but the entire channel onto your website. Your presentations are still available on Parleys unless you hide your channel making your content exclusive for your own website!  All of this while you don't lose any of the benefits of Parleys. The videos will still be supported by HTML 5 so no flash player is needed.

Jfokus did this for their Parleys channel, just give it a try by clicking on the image below.

New Tutorials online

New channel: Scalapeño 2013

This conference took place on 17 July in Tel-Aviv, Israel. Over 230 people attended and learned about Scala. Tomer Gabel and Shai Yailin organized this conference and found out about Parleys through the Scaladays presentations. The slick integration of lecture videos and slide decks was an instant win! ''I saw many try before but they never successfully finished it'' said Tomer Gabel '' We hired a professional video crew to capture the presentations''. Afterwards they uploaded the videos to YouTube so they could then combine them with the original slides. Using the Parleys Web publisher to combine them and put all the slides on the right position in the timeline. The last step was releasing them and showing Scalapeño to the world.

A great example of the basic plan, and it gets better... it's FREE for everyone!
