Thecamera needs to be connected to a network cable before you can add it.

When the computer and camera are in the same network, the camera will be searched automatically.

If the search does not work, try to add it manually.

File save path: Change the file save location

Reserve space: the amount of hard disk space to save the file, the bigger the video save time, the longer it will be.

Record time for package: default 60 minutes to save once, reduce the time to reduce the probability of video loss, if 10 minutes to save once.

Cycle Record: When the storage space is full, it will automatically delete the earliest video files

Auto start record when monitoring: After starting, the software will automatically start recording when you open it

Connect all of device automatically: After starting, open the software will automatically connect the camera

Render Mode: If the video display is abnormal, try to change the mode

Check for product updates on startup: Check the client version

Monitor: Not recommended to change

Not specific for onvif cameras, I have used ffmpeg platform with different IP cams (Amcrest/Wyzes-hacked/IPWebcam) and got this kind of distorted/incomplete feed initially. It helped for me to use the lower bandwidth channel (Amcrest has HD/SD channels), or lower the cam resolution, and improve the wifi signal (use a better router/extender).

One of the IPWebcam still does this up to a minute after I restart the cam/wifi connection, but the feed would then stabilize and get clear picture.

Hope that helps.

what hardware r u hosting it on sorry? i am wondering if my RPI3 is overburdened and cannot convince FFMPEG to do the required processing?

i am using Hassio on a full RASPBIAN STRETCH (should have gone for lite)

The specs say they support the MJPEG protocol, which should make them good for Webcam XW or Netstudio. But of course these are all from China sellers, and getting info from them is sketchy. One seller at least offered me a link to a manual (Its an MS word Doc)

EDIT: I searched for yoosee and rtsp and actually it seems that it has an URL like rtsp://cameraIP:554/onvif1

which indicates that it should be possible to connect to NCS or webcamxp with universal source filter.

Here is the link to the youtube file How to play the RTSP URL of Yoosee Wi-Fi Camera - YouTube

But, I am not sure if it is the exact camera so you have to look into this.

I tried opening my Yoosee camera with OpenCV in Python but got the error "nonmatching transport in server reply". I've posted the same topic, but it violates some of the community rules, so I decide to write this post with a different title.

I've read similar topics, especially the topic with the title "nonmatching transport in server reply" but I've still got no results for me, my code is shown below. Could anyone help me fix it? Besides, I'm using Python 3.11.6 64-bit interpreter from Microsoft store and OpenCV 4.8.0.76. Thank you so much.

Hi Kal

If you use Zoneminder setup with ip cameras in a computer ,the desktop can be accessed from a remote computer using TeamViewer installed both computers. When using TeamViewer port forwarding is not required.

My Apeman IP Camera ID71 has an http interface that listens on a random port each time the device is powered on. I used nmap to find the port and connect via web browser. it also has pan, tilt zoom capability in the web interface.

Try using nmap to scan the camera IP for an http port. My ID71 apeman listens on a random port for http requests. I sign in as admin and the password on the bottom of the device. if you lose power, you have to nmap port scan again to see where the http service listens on now.

Hi Dennis

I have used Xeoma software installed on linux PC to access rtsp streaming of the camera. Xeoma automatically detects the camera. Then the streaming address indicated in Xeoma is used in the Zoneminder. The relevant ports are 554 and 5000 . You will have to do port forwarding in the router to access directly on the web browser. But in my case I have used Xeoma and Zoneminder with out port forwarding.

Hi pauloandes

Have you tried to connect the camera with a mobile phone ? First try to connect the camera to the router with Ethernet cable and configure. On the configuration menu enter the wifi password and connect with wifi .Once you connect with wifi you can access the camera via wifi or mobile data on a mobile phone. Please see this link. If it does not work please reset the camera by pressing the reset button.

Hi Nst

Please change TCP to UDP in the Remote method of the settings of the monitor (in the source menu) and try.

You can capture the image even without port forwarding. Go to the menu of the monitor ,press source then press ONVIF .Now the IP camera is will be detected by the ZM. Then chose the detected camera and then select the stream path required . ( no need to enter user name and password ). Now you can see the source path is automatically entered in the monitor settings. For the Remote method select UDP instead of TCP. save the settings. and restart ZM .

Hi Nst

It seems you can see the cameras locally ( ) .If you want to access zoneminder remotely ,you will have to use a sever or any other methods like port forwarding to access the local host ,or use ngrok, TeamViewer,RealVNC server, etc. to access your desktop remotely .These methods have been explained in my earlier blogs. If you are using port forwarding to access the zoneminder panel ,you will have to change its default port 80 to some other port as it is blocked for remote access in most of the routers .Please ref -to-install-zoneminder-v1-28-107-on-ubuntu-15-04/ to see how to change the defalt port of ZM (Then you will have to portforwad the respective port in the router to access the local host/zm remortly)

Thanks for this very helpful guide.

I followed your instructions and was able to add the camera in zoneminder.

However, the quality I get is very different from the one I have using the yoosee app.

Is there a way to a truly HD quality with zoneminder and Onvif setup?

Thank you very much. I have version 1.29 on Rasbian/Debian (Jessie) and i do not have x264 option. I need to upgrade to Stretch I guess. Anyway, given its hardware, do you think raspbian can make it handling two video streams from two HD cameras?

Gracias, yo utilizo un CMSclient en ubuntu 21.04 bajo crossover-20 para ejecutar las camaras yoose pero tambien tengo una camara v380 y esta explicacin que tu hiciste me ayudo muchisimo. Muchas Gracias.

Using the default ONVIF component, users can easily add the Yoosee cameras to Home assistant. However, this method encounters a serious flaw, the playing video stream will experience high latency/delay/lag up to 10 seconds. This is not acceptable for many users. In this tutorial we show you adding the camera through WebRTC Camera custom component.

The next you need to install WebRTC Camera custom component either from HACS (HACS > Integration > Plus > WebRTC > Install) or manually copy the WebRTC folder to the custom_component folder of your Home Assistant.

Do not copy and paste this code, you should manually edit the code. If you copy and paste this code, you may encounter some errors. After done this, you're able to watch the real-time video from your Yoosee security camera.

1) Wired connectionafter the camera power on,connect one end of the cable to the camera ,the other end to the router LAN port(please be sure the router open the DHCP function) ,the network light will be normally on after connection successfully.

iSpy and BlueIris are popular video surveillance software, these software can not only support local video previewing and recording, but also support remote accessing and advanced event notification. Yoosee cameras are compatible with ONVIF and RTSP protocols, hence they can be easily added to the software. If you wish to connect Yoosee cameras to BlueIris, please read this tutorial. Unlike BlueIris, the iSpy is freeware can turn your computer to a video recorder.

iSpy is able to compatible with all version of Windows operating system. It offers 32bit and 64bit version for Windows 10 OS. However, there is no software for Mac OS. If you wish to use video management software works in Mac OS, you can use XM VMS.

The iSpy will pop-up video source window, we enter the default account information; user name: admin; password: 123, network address we should enter the IP address of the camera with port number e.g. :5000, after we enter these info, we click Next.
