Thesebrushes come with a standard ZBrush install, and it should not be necessary to install them separately. However, like many functions in ZBrush they are context sensitive, and will only be accessible when you have an active 3d mesh in Edit Mode.

You may be able to correct for this by reducing the button size in Preferences> UI> Button Size, but this will only work to an extent. If your display meets the screen res requirements for ZBrush, you may need to reduce the amount of display scaling, or exempt ZBrush from it.

And giant dynamic brush sizes reappear with every single brush including the smoothing and masking brush variations: If i turn off Dynamic for Mask-Pen, I also have to turn it off for Mask-Lasso, Mask-Rect etc.

Click the images below to download the brushes. Keep in mind that this library of brushes is constantly updated and different versions of ZBrush are used to create them. In order for the brushes to work correctly it is recommended that you use the latest version of ZBrush.

Greetings to you, blender people! ? So, when I was in zbrush I had Orb brushes pack (which is completely free), this pack was all about stylizing strokes from blizzards employee. And, zbrush is awesome, but blender getting better and better every...

Hey everyone, I would like to share my own custom Zbrush brush for sculpting hair for 3D printing and show you the process how to do it. It's bit different detailing technique compared to other hair brush I've found online, and it's really fast to create and edit for feedback. I hope you like it :)

For the times you need to sculpt a fine line. I made this brush as a part of sculpting skin details and other fine detail work for the times when every other brush just can't get small enough. Makes a great companion to the almighty Dam_Standard Brush.

To get more out of those tutorials it would be nice to have a list of brush equivalents, for example when they are talking about "clay buildup" brush in ZBrush, should I use clay or clay strips brush in Blender? Is "clay tubes" in ZBrush Blender's "clay strips"? Does "standard brush" equal "sculpt/draw"? It takes lots of effort and experimentation to find those equivalents with trial and error.

During months afetr I asked this question I was able to piece together some experience from various sources that now allows me to answer it, at least partially. I'll probably be editing this answer in the future and adding new items to the list.

The goal was to be able to use gazillion of ZBrush sculpting tutorials from Youtube and use them as a learning tool in Blender Sculpt mode. The conclusion is, in order to understand them, you have to learn ZBrush, there is no way around it. But you don't have to download and use the program itself, you can simply watch a few beginner tutorials. The best way to familiarize yourself with ZBrush basics is the latest playlist by Pixologic, published on 24.06.2016:

ZBrush is the industry standard digital sculpting software. The latest version features an updated Anchors Brush system which provides an intuitive way to deform meshes by applying anchors onto a mesh while allowing for actions to be performed. The Knife Brushes gain increased design dexterity with a Split to Parts feature set allowing parts to be cut off and retained. Insert Mesh brushes are now compatible with Stroke menu options providing a wild range of visual possibilities. Designing surface details and adding secondary elements to models is now more easily achieved with the Repeat to Similar functionality, and the new DragStamp stroke option helps to advance surface details while buttons like Crease UnMasked and Uncrease UnMasked set the stage for dynamic edge control. The Gizmo and Transpose functions include topology masking for both tools while allowing snapping on perfectly masked areas. The Gizmo is now capable of snapping to the center of masked regions, and the addition of Cinema 4D noises provide robust methods for detailing assets. ZBrush provides access to diverse workflows and limitless creative possibilities.

ZBrush sets the industry standard for digital sculpting and painting. Its features enable you to use customizable brushes to shape, texture and paint virtual clay in a real-time environment that provides instant feedback. When you use ZBrush you'll be empowered by the same tools employed by film studios, game developers, toy/collectible makers, jewelry designers, automotive/aviation designers, illustrators, advertisers, scientists and other artists the world over. In fact, we have even received an Academy Award for the technology that powers ZBrush.

In short, ZBrush is an art tool created by artists, for artists. It allows you to create models and illustrations limited only by your imagination, at a speed that allows you to stand out in today's fast paced industry.

Some of the Brushes in this pack are improvements on brushes that already, or did at one point, exist in ZBrush by default. They are modifications that I have made to the brushes over the years to make them work better for myself, and hopefully you too. I've also thrown in some insert mesh brushes that will help speed up your workflow immensely. Enjoy!

I got a brand new tutorial on my YouTube channel where I cover some of the basics and more advanced settings to customise your own brushes in ZBrush. In the tutorial, I'll walk you through the process of creating a custom 'scar brush' (great for adding damage to the skin of a character or sculpting details on a creature).

These brushes are fantastic, be sure to experiment with the brush settings and your objects resolution to enjoy all that they are capable of. They do a great job of adding mood and character to any sculpt!

There are many different brushes you can sculpt with in ZBrush. Each brush has a unique property that allows it to do something the other brushes cannot. Also, brushes in ZBrush can be modified using several important controls such as Gravity, Wrap Mode or Density. You can create your own versions of any brush by adjusting the settings, saving the brush so that you can use it later.

The Standard brush is the original basic ZBrush sculpting brush, and when used with its modifiers at their default values, it displaces outward the vertices over which it passes, giving the effect of adding clay to a sculpture. It can be used with all of the various brush modifiers, such as Strokes, Alphas, an edit curve, and so on. Pressing the Alt key causes the standard key to carve into, rather than build up, the model.

In contrast to the Standard brush, which pulls or pushes geometry along the normal of the surface under the center of the brush, Inflat expands geometry by pushing vertices along their own normals. This can be particularly important when you are doing sculpts that displace the surface a large amount with just one or two strokes.

On the left of the image, creating spikes with the Std brush; on the right, the Inflat brush. In both cases, the all spikes were generated at the same time, with a single motion using the Spray stroke.

Inflat spikes are perpendicular to underlying surface, Std spikes are all in the same direction.

Elastic works similarly to the Inflate brush, but for some model types, is more accurate at maintaining the original shape of the surface as the surface is displaced. Experiment with both to see which is better for your work.

Pinch pulls vertices together; it is, roughly, the inverse of the Magnify brush. It is very useful for sinking in detail for creating clothing and wrinkles, and for adding hard edges to any form. The Pinch brush has been augmented with an elevation slider which allows the artist to pinch in and out along the surface of the model to really sink in detail or harden the edge.

Note: As in the example shown here, Pinch is often used with LazyMouse to achieve smooth, precise ridges, even with multiple passes.

Flatten flattens the surface towards a plane whose angle is determined by the area immediately under the center of the brush. As a result, using this brush with strokes or alphas that change the angles of areas of the surface may cause the flattening plane to shift around. To flatten to a particular plane, ensure you brush over a relatively smooth surface; for example, use the Smooth brush first, if needed.

The Layer brush raises (or lowers, if ZSub is on) the surface on which it is used by a fixed amount, determined by the value of Z Intensity. The defining character of the layer brush is that when a stroke overlaps itself, the overlapping parts of the stroke do not undergo additional displacement. This makes the layer brush ideal for changing the displacement of an entire area by a fixed amount; simply scrub across the surface, without worrying about dragging the stroke over itself.

The SnakeHook brush allows you to easily pull out horns, tendrils, branches, and other extrusions from a 3D surface. This is work that previously would have required a good deal more time using multiple tools. It is a good brush to use with DynaMesh which can remove the stretched polygons that result from using the Snakehook brush.

There are some things that and sometimes although they are small they cause a lot of difficulties in your work. The point can be useful in some cases where you want to monitor where your brush is going but having it in your face all the time makes you feel dizzy and sometimes it can be fatiguing. Not to mention that the color used in the main brush is red.

It is like a double whammy and highly noticeable/sticks out like laser.
