WHAT: A Library Orientation Session for Chinese Students
WHEN: September 13, 2013 (Friday), 12pm – 1pm
WHERE: Davis Library, Room 214
Collection Overview:
UNC Libraries began collecting Chinese language materials systemically in 1964. The library now boasts one of the largest Chinese collections in the South with more than 180,000 holdings in print, eBooks, electronic databases, films (1151 titles), microforms and maps. Although the bulk of our collection relates to the Humanities and Social Sciences, the implementation of an interdisciplinary curriculum in the late ’90s and UNC’s rapidly increasing Chinese student enrollment calls for more interaction with library users to help us actively expand resources and provide support services for teaching and learning needs across all disciplines.
