Dear sudhi
It is quite erratic result in knee OA, sometime good sometime not so good, dont give false hope to your patients that they will be alright with ozone.
Another thing you can do is prolotherapy for knee joint.

hi,
ozone can be given intra-articularly[ directly in to the joint] or can be given subcutaneously at multiple places around the joint.5/6/ sitting are required.
Results are good as far as pain releif is concerned. But it does not alter the course of the damaging process.
In R.A. systemic ozone [MAH OR RECTAL] SOULD BE GIVEN AS THIS IS A GENERALIZED  CONDITION.

Dear Dr. Sudhi,
Ozone helps relieve inflammation and pain due to OA. It is not a permanent cure but it helps for about 6 months or so. Patient can repeat treatment every 6 months. No. it is not a substitute for Replacement surgery. Yes, it hasimmun modulatory effect and is very effective in RA. For further details visit www.ozonepromotion.com
Thanks and regards,

Dear Dr.Sudhi,
First of all i treat my all patient to DETOXIFY themself by my method(noninvesive)before starting my PAIN THERAPY.
our ALL pain clinic are tertiary centres.people first goes to GENERAL PRACTITIORES,then to surgeon/physician.they get tired of taking medicines and then land up in PAIN CLINIC.So it is necessary to remove toxins from them what they have ingested.

Dear Dr. Sudhi'
It is rightly said by Dr. Kothari, that the results of ozone in knee is upredictable.for good results one should keep in mind that it works and does wonder if the cases are selected meticulously by you.. in severe grade of OA, ozone is of no use. In RA, I have used in 2-3 cases and got excellent results ,only the ozone sittings 1st biweekly and then weekly for at least 2-3 months.

dear all

Iam also practising Intrarticular ozone therapy for OA .it works very well in selected patients i.e upto grade II OA.

Early gr III may respond but has only short term pain relief and in my views it is not worth trying or only in pts who are willing to take chance.

regarding prolotherapy, ozone can be used as a proliferanting agent in OA for regeneration of cartilage but again upto gr II it is helpful because some cartilage is required for its generation and we call it- PROLOZONE therapy.

I have a request , that we should refrain ourself from using the word "sittings"
for the Procedures because what we are doing are the interventional procedures and not the alternative medicine sittings.

Dear Dr. Chadha,
Videos on prolotherapy have been sent to your personal mailbox. Please
view tham and post your remarks on this platform only. For ease of
emailing only medium size files are sent. Unfortunately, google does
not allow even a allows more than 4MB file to attach for posting.
So keep in touch with BREATHPURE for latest feeds. This is the only
place where you can expect complete support and not just after sales
service.
Soon, you will be able to download selected videos (they will keep on
changing) from teamwaterhouse.net or breathpure.woind.com websites.
Regards.

Dear Dr. Kothari,
Results may be erratic because of inadequate and uncontrolled Ozone
mixture produced by the equipment. Before blaming the technique which
might not be wrong, the machine needs a proper check.
I have found machines in Mumbai that produce only 547 mg per hour
ozone, whereas the requirement at 2 lpm Oxygen feed and say, 30
microgram per ml concentration of Ozone output, the ozone production
capacity should be 3,600 milligram per hour.
Regards.
Saktibrata Dasgupta.
