TheCW is known for using acquired scripted series as summer programming. This year is different as there is a lot of uncertainty over when TV series will be able to go into production amid the coronavirus pandemic, so it is possible that the CW would use some of the acquisitions for late summer or fall to give its originals more time to produce new episodes. The CW is expected to unveil its fall schedule on Thursday.

Swamp Thing premiered May 31, 2019 on DC Universe and was canceled after one season. It is the second DC Universe series to find a network home at the CW, joining Stargirl. Swamp Thing follows Dr. Abby Arcane (Crystal Reed) as she investigates what seems to be a deadly swamp-born virus in a small town in Louisiana but when a mysterious creature emerges from the murky marsh, she finds herself facing the nightmares of a supernatural world where no one is safe. The series also stars Virginia Madsen, Andy Bean, Henderson Wade, Derek Mears, Maria Sten Jeryl Prescott and Kevin Durand, with Jennifer Beals and Will Patton.

Based on the DC characters created by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson, Swamp Thing is produced by Atomic Monster in association with Warner Bros. Television. The series is executive produced by James Wan, Mark Verheiden, Gary Dauberman, Michael Clear and Len Wiseman.

Coroner, a CBC Original Series, is executive produced by Morwyn Brebner, Adrienne Mitchell, Jonas Prupas, Brett Burlock, and Peter Emerson, and is produced by Muse Entertainment, Back Alley Films, and Cineflix Studios.

Is it possible to push Bad Apple into an Arduino UNO with 32Kb Flash? Each of 8 characters is represented by a 5x8 bitmap, that is to say 8x5x8 = 320 bits = 40 bytes per frame. 32 Kb gives you space for about 800 frames (in fact, you don't need to redraw unchanged characters, so this number depends on video and frame rate). Obviously you should decrease frame rate and implement a better compression algorithm. When I finished this project I found out that Ian Ward has been working on a similar idea recently. His outstanding implementation is hardware-only, without any microcontroller. And yes, it really fits 32Kb! Of course, with quality losses. So technically it is possible with aggressive and lossy compression algorithms.

Is it possible to increase resolution? It depends on your particular stream and how much quality loss you are ready to tolerate. This implementation provides a larger viewport by rendering nearly black characters black and nearly white characters white. It also uses other smart and aggressive compression techniques. However, if you want a lossless stream, 8 custom characters is your limit.

I think there is one more use case for the described technique. I found out that pixels on these LCD screens have some "inertia". That is to say, they turn on and fade off gradually. By switching images very quickly, it should be possible to display more shades. On the attached photo I tried to render 4 shades: ON, OFF, and two transitional colors. One of the shades still flickers, but I think it might be tuned with precise time delays or by switching to a display with different controller.

First you should resize your video to fit a 23x17 viewport. You may do it with any video editor you like. For example, ffmpeg, which is a useful command line tool for video processing. The command would look like this:

This command will produce a lot of png images named output_0001.png, output_0002.png etc. The -r 10 flag means that you want 10 images per second. Note that LCD display update rate is not very high, so 10fps is a reasonable guess to start with.

It loads each image, splits it into eight 5x8 rectangles, omitting blind zones, and generates Arduino code. You may collect further details from the attached flowchart and comments inside the code, but if you just want to get things done run the following command:

Is it normal for my 5k imac 27 inch to get 14 dead pixels as i cant return or get screen replaced because of it being out of warranty? Also are the pixels off to pereserve power coz og big display or just dead indicating more for the future?

Ok, could you give me a suggestion to solve 14 dead pixels as my device is out of warranty and no external damage is done to the display. So what could i do rather then spending a bunch of money for replacement?

You keep asking us as to whether 14 pixels are too many. We can't really answer that. Remember, we are just users like you and our opinion as to whether 14, 1400 or 14,000 are too many would just be our opinion and not any official apple statement.

The constructor for wx.TextCtrl takes a wx.Size argument, which is in units of pixels. Usually, I don't want to specify the size of a multiline TextCtrl in pixels, but rather in how many characters it can show without scrolling. I find that multiline TextCtrls are often the dominant component in my windows, thus stretching by Sizer is not an option.

I understand that fonts are not usually monospaced, and using 'X' as a representative character width is inexact, however it's plenty good enough for my usage. Still, it seems there should be some way to do this directly using the wx library.

Using something like text.GetSizeFromTextSize(text.GetTextExtent("99999").x) is indeed the best way to size the text control to fit exactly 5 digits (e.g. a ZIP code in some localities). Notice that this is slightly better than your code because the width of 80 "X"s is not necessarily quite the same as 80 times the width of a single "X". And I'd also recommend using "M" or "W" which can be noticeably wider than "X" in some fonts, but this is not going to changes matters much.

We thought about adding a helper method doing this and it might indeed be useful, but, again, this still won't make things as simple as you'd like because you really need to specify the characters you want to use: "W" for letters, "9" for digits and maybe something like "x" if you want the control to be wide enough to fit the given number of characters on average instead of being wide enough to guarantee fitting the given number of the widest characters because the difference may be noticeable.

The main place where we could make life simpler would be at XRC level and this would be worth doing ("just" a question of time...), but for the code I really don't think we can make things much simpler than what they're now.

They are a virus that takes the form of Sonic, which is in a Sonic ROM hack, though because of their actions, they are going through a war with the characters, leading it to start killing off many of the characters, all while trying to break free and destroy reality.

Their Faker form resembles sonic, with slightly drooped spikes that's a dark pale blue in color. The pupils are long rectangular lines, while they have a pale tan skin, ear canals, and arms. They wear grey gloves with dark grey cuffs, along with wearing black shoes with grey stripes and dark grey socks.

Upon getting overexcited, they have a harder time trying to keep the form, leading to black boxes appearing over their pupils with ichor pouring out of the black boxes, and their mouth slowly appearing.

Their normal form has the spikes and skin more palened, along with there now being a box covering their eyes. Their arms and legs are now covered in what seems to be ichor, while the gloves(not including the cuffs) start to darken. Ichor also leaks from the box over their eyes, and their mouth. The insides of their ear canals are starting to turn black as well, while having a square-shaped halo above them, with their spikes drooping more.

In their true form, their fully monochrome in color. The box that was covering their eyes is now covering their face, with their teeth still visible, along with their nose now being white. Their ear canals are completely black while there are now two square-shaped halo's above them, and the ichor has spread more up the legs and arms along with their spikes drooping once more. Their gloves are also now completely dark grey.

It was a Romhack that has mysteriously appeared onto the internet, and one person, named Jane, decided, why not see what potential the game has. She went through some zones, with sonic running around, but she soon runs into some sort of lookalike at the end of the zone.

She then approaches it, for it to look back at Sonic in response. Blue text will then appear, saying, "Who are you? You don't belong here, faker!", before teal text appears, saying "You think you're the hero here? They won't expect a thing when you're missing. I'll be your replacement, and you'll just be a p a w n" They will then laugh uncontrollably, before their laughter glitches with black boxes over their eyes, and a black fluid oozing from their mouth and the boxes, before the run away, and the zone completes.

Thinking it was a weird occurrence, but she then shrugs it off, before going to the next zone, though this one was called diamond hills, being a zone having some mountains, some buildings, and some trees and plants around the area, though going further into the zone, black pixels seem to appear on the computer, making her stop to check what's wrong, though it was slightly warm, not hot or anything, so it confused her even more on what's happening.

She then goes back to the game, to see the lookalike suddenly behind sonic, though it quickly zoomed away, almost like they weren't expecting her to go back into the game. She cautiously goes forward, before the finish sign seems to tilted, with the lookalikes face on it, before the zone glitches to white, with the trees and plants being black, and sonic being blue, along with her entire computer background being black, and everything but the tab for the game is there.

She goes forward, having to go through obstacles, though the 'zone' no Badnicks around. She soon spots a teal figure, but thinking it might try to do something, she jumps over it, though it grabs Sonics leg and slams him back down, leading into some sort of boss-fight against it, though it seems to teleport around, and some replicas of itself appears at some points, and they would sometimes make portals that leads sonic to it, though when she was getting close to defeating it, one of its replicas will grab Sonic when he was about to hit the figure one more time.
