City to Host Final Open House for River Corridor Master Plan

Come join the City of Montrose on Tuesday, March 22, to view the final draft of the Uncompahgre River Corridor Master Plan. The open house will be held in the Cascade Room at the Elks Civic Building (107 S. Cascade Avenue) from 3 to 6 p.m.

The Uncompahgre River Corridor Master Plan is being created to provide guidance for future recreation and trail system development, infrastructure improvements and land acquisition, as well as strategies to enhance commercial development along the river, increase tourism and promote economic development opportunities. The plan also recommends how to best preserve elements of the river corridor that are particularly important to the river ecosystem. The project is being accomplished with the help of a grant from Great Outdoors Colorado.
