after installing Cura and selecting a printer i dont see qidi tech , makerbot or replicator 2 as an option to select.

Do not select replicator 2 anywhere. Doing this will cause some homing, tool head offset and steps/mm per axis. You have a replicator 1 or dual clone. Prints sliced for a rep2 will be about 10% smaller due to one extra tooth on the drive gears 17t vs. 18t.

Cura will also not produce .x3g files needed for your printer. The best option is to search for Makerbot desktop 2.4, the last version with a useful update for this printer.

Flashforge has also released a compatible slicer by selecting the creator 4 series. https://groups.google.com/forum/m/#!topic/flashforge/v9SW5XiqlfA.
