Sowho has stolen my heart? Metropolis coffee . Granted I still have A LOT of Metropolis coffee varieties to try, but my first two experiences are hard to beat. My first exposure was at Sawada Coffee, still drooling over their lattes and muffins, the second now was at Dollop Coffee.

By this time I was parched, tired and sweating, I need to make note, never leave my house without a water bottle. Especially since we did not walk straight to Dollop, naturally, I found a way to turn this simple coffee shop visit into a whole afternoon of exploring the parks and lakefront before heading to the coffee shop. So three hours after leaving our apartment we arrived!

Being such a small shop the coffee menu was small and to the point, but I was excited to try Metropolis Coffee again! Originally roasted here in Chicago Metropolis is a father son run business, near the Edgewater Glen neighborhood. They source their beans mostly from the South American region: Brazil, Colombia and Guatemala. After this experience I am looking forward to checking out their original shop and where the beans are actually roasted!

I ordered the iced latte and Daniel ordered the iced honey cinnamon latte, he likes to try the specialty drinks and gets a little more wild with his coffee orders. I love that about our coffee partnership we having going on, allows me to sample coffees I would typically not order for myself, since all I can really handle is a sip of those sweet drinks.
