TRAMA

Una notte da dottore, film diretto da Guido Chiesa, racconta la storia del 65enne Pierfrancesco Mai (Diego Abatantuono), un medico scorbutico e cinico, che lavora ancora come guardia notturna, nonostante i mille acciacchi dell'età.

Una notte l'uomo ha un incidente: investe il rider Mario (Frank Matano), che fortunatamente ne esce illeso, al contrario della sua bicicletta, con cui consegna il cibo a domicilio. A differenza del giovane, Pierfrancesco subisce dei danni; l'urto, infatti, riaccende la sua sciatalgia e si vede impossibilitato a mettersi alla guida.

Roma. Pierfrancesco Mei è un medico scorbutico, cinico e pieno di acciacchi che lavora come guardia medica notturna. Una notte incrocia al ristorante Mario, un rider che fa consegne a domicilio. Poco dopo ha un incidente fortuito con lui. Il ragazzo non si è fatto niente ma la bicicletta è distrutta. Dopo l'impatto invece Pierfrancesco invece si muove a fatica e, a causa di un colpo di sciatica, non riesce più a mettersi alla guida. Per non perdere entrambi il lavoro, trovano un accordo. Mario si finge medico al posto suo e Pierfrancesco gli fornisce le istruzioni attraverso un auricolare. L'auto del dottore viene invece utilizzata per fare le consegne. Il ragazzo si trova all'inizio totalmente impreparato, poi riesce a prendere gradualmente confidenza con il suo nuovo 'ruolo'.

Un altro remake per la Colorado Film e anche per Guido Chiesa. Dopo Belli di papà e Ti presento Sofia, il regista gira il rifacimento di Chiamate un dottore!, una commedia francese dove Diego Abatantuono e Frank Matano riprendono i personaggi interpretati da Michel Blanc e Hakim Jemili rispettivamente nei ruoli del dottore e del rider.

Anche se rispetto all'originale Una notte da dottore non è ambientato durante la vigilia di Natale, c'è ancora la notte e la città vuota. Inoltre il film è così fedele al film francese da apparire in certi momenti come una fotocopia, dove alcune scene sono rifatte quasi in modo identico. È un cinema che va con il pilota automatico, che si affida ai divertenti duetti verbali tra Diego Abatantuono e Frank Matano e ripropone anche dei malintesi che appaiono un po' tirati via ("Ha problemi con il gas? - chiede Mario a un paziente - bollette non pagate...?").

Alcune scene, rispetto a Chiamate un dottore! funzionano meglio come la vendetta nei confronti del cliente benestante e arrogante che gli fa portare via la mondezza, mentre tutta la parte finale non è all'altezza dell'originale. Certamente Una notte da dottore è girato con grande mestiere da Chiesa, ma il plot sicuro e affidabile ha raffreddato il suo cinema che non ha più l'estro e l'energia di Lavorare con lentezza e la capacità di sorprendere con Io sono con te.

Il film poteva anche essere una moderna commedia all'italiana che attraverso la figura del dottore e del rider raccontava la solitudine, l'arte di arrangiarsi, il disincanto per la propria vita o il precariato della professione. Non si chiedeva certo un approfondimento di queste tematiche ma una maggiore messa a fuoco. Ma soprattutto manca l'equilibrio tra commedia e dramma. Ovviamente il film è tutto sbilanciato sul primo genere ma appaiono piuttosto forzate le scene più intime, i segni del lutto che ha segnato Pierfrancesco e il conseguente rapporto di totale assenza con la sua famiglia. Certo, ci si affeziona ai personaggi e alla loro umanità, alle scene in cui Mario deve affrontare un paziente diverso e ai dialoghi tra il medico e la proprietaria del ristorante che sono tra i momenti più divertenti del film. In alcuni casi può anche bastare. In questo caso si chiede di più.

The first national live television broadcast in the US took place on September 4, 1951 when President Harry Truman’s speech at the Japanese Peace Treaty Conference in San Francisco was transmitted over AT&T’s transcontinental cable and microwave radio relay system to broadcast stations in local markets.

The first national color broadcast (the 1954 Tournament of Roses Parade) in the US occurred on January 1, 1954. During the following ten years most network broadcasts, and nearly all local programming, continued to be in black-and-white. A color transition was announced for the fall of 1965, during which over half of all network prime-time programming would be broadcast in color. The first all-color prime-time season came just one year later. In 19402, the last hDemon Slayer: Le train de l'infiniout among daytime network shows converted to color, resulting in the first completely all-color network season.

In 2012, it was reported that television was growing into a larger component of major media companies’ revenues than film.[5] Some also noted the increase in quality of some television programs. In 2012, Academy-Award-winning film director Steven Soderbergh, commenting on ambiguity and complexity of character and narrative, stated: “I think those qualities are now being seen on television and that people who want to see stories that have those kinds of qualities are watching television.
