Hi, I have Umurmur 0.2.13-4 installed on my synology 2412+ NAS. I can connect to the server using password that I have set-up and ports are all working fine.  I have also added an admin_password to the server and added that to my tokens in the client.  When I connect now I do not get the logfile saying that I provided an admin password (as this wiki page displays). In the CONFIGURE > SETTINGS I have enables ADVANCED and still cannot access the Register/ ACL or any other admin tools.

Does anyone have ideas on why this may be?  From the .ini file I can set up room but shouldnt I be able to do all this via the client as an Admin?  Thanks

EDIT: Also I have followed instructions on getting a security certificate and have added it to my client.  This isn't a certificate for the server as I understand it but for me connecting to it as a user?

Hi!

Regarding admin_password: It should work.
Regarding ACL, register, setting up channels via client etc: You can't do that with uMurmur and it's all documented on the project page.
Regarding certificate: If the instructions were found at uMurmur project page then that's for the server, not client.

I am having the same issue with the SuperUser Login.

I have installed umurmur (0.2.14) on my  DS214 play. I am able to connect to the server as an unregistered user, both from within my Lan and outside by network.

When I try to connect as SuperUser  I get an error that says  Wrong server password for unregistered user account, please try again.

Any ideas what I could be doing wrong. I know mumble very well from the client side but this is my first experience with the server side.

Thank you

Hi,

I'm having trouble understanding the context since there is no concept of 'SuperUser' in uMurmur. All you need to do is add the 'admin_password' setup in the server configuration to the list of tokens (in the client) and that user will become admin.

Yes admin and server password are totally separate. You should use 'baa' to log in. The access token 'test' should give you admin rights. Make sure you add it to the token list when connected to the server. You then need to reconnect to the server.

Hi Martin  Thank you for getting back to me.  I was trying to login in as SuperUser, I did not understand that umurmur does not support that.  I have tried to log in using the admin password and I will still having issues.  I have attached my config file.

So then I try to log in using  the admin password test I get this error.  I can log in using the password baa but it does not give me admin rights. I am also able to connect to the server from my work office using the password baa

I have added the Token test into my client

Here is a copy of the error that I am getting on the log file

I really don't know what to try next.  If you have any suggestions I would be very greatful.

Thank you very much for your time.
