Good things come to an end....when we failed to beat Blackburn Rovers a few weeks back I secretly texted my son a message 'its over' he wrote back saying 'they still have to beat liverpool' and I said 'am not sure we are watching the same game'..after yesterday he texted back to say he has focused his venom on his 'O level exams'...cannot blame the lad.
Chelsea took the lot...EPL, Golden Glove, Golden Boot and reached the century mark 100 plus goals(but I couldnt help and chuckle to think Ucar Godfrey Chitalu reached that in 1970) which until now stood at 98 courtesy of Manu....I guess one has to re-write the record book to win this EPL nowadays..but hats off to the blues.
For Manu I think it remains to be said what could have been Burnley, Blackburn, Liverpool, Chelsea etc..it must force Fergie to get real and get a world class striker..Torres is off the limit..so he can go back to seek the hand of David Villa even Milito but he does need someone who can make defenders think about it to allow Rooney a freerer hand than he has had all season...we suffered too many injuries but so too did Chelsea but I think we took our eyes off the bigger picture and paid the price....a special salute to Evra Patrice would be inorder..what a season he has had and even the gift to Bayern in Munich can be forgotten.
Lastly as this is seen as a year of Pacts there has been a clarion call for Liverpool to form a pact with City (manshity they new earned tag) to better compete in the league and dislodge the top three..how this would work I dont know but it comes from the lads in blue from across the river they have Mancini in their sites.
Hail the blues...
