Conducting a Test with Ubuntu

Hello Everyone,
Happy to be aboard!
My younger brother Andy is not very computer savvy, but he knows a
stable OS when he views one.
After I installed Ubuntu 7.04 on his PIII, 750MHz, 256MB, 40GB (hd)
microcomputer, he said, "i like the spinning thing, it tells me
something is happening." A few weeks later I was thrilled when I asked
him if he has see any pop-ups etc., "you know, I haven't seen any
since you installed this new OS. He also said he didn't see a big
difference between XP and Ubuntu; imagaine that Mr. Gates. He upgraded
his 98 system, and didn't use XP very long.
Although I enjoy using Fedora, I thought Ubuntu would be a good distro
for brother Andrew.
