Passing of Air Marshal Michael John (Mick) McLaren.

It is with deep sadness that we advise of the passing of Air Marshal Mick McLaren suddenly in Fish Hoek, Cape Town on Friday 29 July, 2016  at the age of 85.

 

“Boss Mick” will be remembered both as the Commander of the Rhodesian Air Force from 1973-1977, and thereafter as the Deputy Commander Comops from 1977-1980.

He is Gone

You can remember him and only that he's gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what he'd want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on
