Hi all,

I have attached the presentation our group gave for 664 -- let me know what modifications we want to make to it (such as take out "Issues" slide? etc). I'll be sure to change the cover and title page, etc. Also, since Emily and Jessica won't be there, someone will have to take over their roles, especially Emily's role of walking through the website. Whoever does that should contact her for her notes. Let me know you thoughts!

Also, we should designate a point person to lead the discussion about end of life, etc

I could lead end of life; i have some questions lined up that also will tie into some work other students have done (such as the si.all.open message board group)

Others might think differently, but I think the only slides we need are: intro, what is umsi/discover, and the demo. Team roles, process, and restraints---well, bless the CDO, but if they were just amassing data up to this point, a discussion of process, etc. seems superfluous.

Best,
Kimberly

the one thing from the process that I wanted to bring up was our shift from recommendation system to navigation system
team role to emphasize they need a data strategist
and from restraints to talk about what we have been able to accomplish and still plan to accomplish next year so they don't feel this is the end all.

though I see your point, we don't really need a detailed slide as already included.. maybe just a bland slide that just says 'discussion' and then we can bring these up?

I tend to agree with Kimberly.

Into
What we are doing
Important distinctions about program (navigation not recommend, role of data strategy, etc)
Demo
What we think should happen next
Discussion

I think that's what we need.

New version attached. Pay particular attention to the text in pink -- those are things I'm not sure about. Also, the "Next Steps" slides are just things off the top of my head, let me know if you think there are things we should/should not include.

Send me notes and I will modify!

Hi Ying,

Attached are the slides with some notes attached to relevant pages.  I added notes with bullets followed by paragraphs.  dont worry about adding the paragraphs, those were just notes for me and to help you make sense of what the bullet might address.

Kimberly, our 'about' page can definitely draw on the second sections of our presentation (Important Distinctions), mind drawing up a written paragraph around the topics from that slide?  The "what is umsi discover" slide draws from the welcome text on the site, so we have that covered.

Thanks for updating the slides.

Best,
Edgar
