EAW 2005 - Table volunteers

UMREG EAW TABLE INFO

 

Table coordinators Holly & Kerri will set up the table on Monday morning and take it down Friday afternoon. 

 

The yellow highlighted column in the attached document indicates when the table will be manned/womaned each day, 10am - 3pm.  It is okay if we leave the table alone during EAW events, as we should try try to go these events ourselves as much as possible.

 

PLEASE EMAIL ME THE TIMES YOU ARE AVAILABLE TO TABLE-SIT, by clicking holly_p...@yahoo.ca rather than replying-all so we don't clog everyone's inbox.  It would be great to have at least 2 people at the table at a time, volunteers strongly encouraged to join staff in this effort.  I will mail out updated copies of the attached excel spreadsheet as more people volunteer and updates to the schedule are made.

 

The table may be left alone during the day and during the week, as long as the electronic contraption is supervised at all times - if the table is going to be left unmanned, the last person/people to man the table are expected to lock it up in UMREG or otherwise take care of it.

Table monitors are expected to do the following:

-greet table visitors
-answer any questions that table visitors have
-tidy table contents (eg pamphlets)
-push EAW events, and signing up as a volunteer
-update signage at the table indicating where and when current EAW events are taking place, e.g. "Right now (11am-Xpm), Aiden Enns is speaking in the Flin Flon Room, come join us!"

 

Please show up about 10 minutes before your table shift starts so that other table monitors can leave for class in time if need be.
