In some projects, the information in the sub grant agreements does not tally with the MS Excel budgets; within the documents/excel spreadsheets. Logframe information is different from project descriptions;; some project logframes are not aligned to programme results; As an immediate step, there is need for the ASARECA Secretariat to put its data and information in order. There is need to carry out a quality assurance review of all the existing project data and informa¬tion. All project documents including sub-grant agreements, project proposals, logframes and budgets should be cross-checked for consistency. The inconsistent information should be pointed out to the relevant programmes, and there should be follow up until the inconsistencies are resolved. Main objective of the Consultancy: To carry out a quality assurance review of all the existing project data, information and documentation with a view to correcting the inconsistencies therein; and to assist programmes and units to enter the validated/verified data and information into the existing modules of the Programme Management Information System (PMIS). These include the Project management information system (GMIS) and the Grants management information system (GMIS) modules.
