Reading Rational Rose file with opensource

Hello

Can someone please tell any opensource tool which can create or edit
the rational rose (.mdl) files.

Hello,

This is an ultra late reply... probably no longer of interest to the OP, perhaps to others:

1. CrazyBeans (written in Java)

2. Rose .mdl/.cat/.sub to XML converter (written in perl)
