The published work of Harvard-Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory
astrophysicist Willie Soon (http://heartland.org/willie-soon), a
prominent climate change denier who testified before the Senate
Committee on Environment and Public Works in 2003, was supported
entirely by oil industry funds for much of the past decade, according
to documents acquired by Greenpeace under the Freedom of Information
Act. Soon failed to disclose conflicts of interest in at least 11
papers since 2008, violating ethical guidelines of journals in at least
8 cases.
