Club registration

On sunday 4 April 2008 UVA held an informal meeting to discus the way
forward.

A representitive from the department of Sports and recreations was
present and gave us a lot of information about the league which we
will be implementing during the next few weeks.

All local clubs need to be affiliated to the UVA (Umkhanyakude
Volleyball association) before they may enter a team in the league.

Each player in the club must also be registered with UVA (Umkhanyakude
Volleyball Association). It was sugested that we charge each club R
200.00 to register and that each player of the club should also be
charged a R 20.00 registration fee.

It Must be noted that only registered players will be allowed to play
in the league, and that a team that arrives at a venue to play with
less than 8 players may be forced to forfeit the game.

The leauge will be played according to the Volleyball South Africa
rules, and there will be strict controll over all disciplinary
affairs, with the club taking resposibility for the players actions.

Clubs must register as soon as possible, and only those clubs who
qualify according to the league rules will be admoited to the league.

There is a minimum of 8 teams and a maximum of 16 teams that can be
accommodated in this new league.

This league is looking for sponsors / funders and any help will be
appriciated, as UVA (Umkhanyakude Volleyball Association) needs to
register with Volleyball SA and other statuary organisations before we
commense with this league.

All clubs wishing to enter this new league must apply to UVA for
permission to be accredited with UVA before being able to enter the
league. We will have more info here soon, as this is a new initative
and we still need to do a few things to satisfy the league owners.
