BusinessObjects Training: Adding additional Zoom and In-person options!

Hello, all. 

Due to the overwhelming demand, we are adding additional Business Objects 4.3 training classes! We are adding both Zoom and in-person classes. 

In-person training dates:

• June 8, 2023 (full and full wait list) 

• New - July 13, 2023; Aug 10, 2023; Oct 10, 2023

Zoom training dates:

• New - June 21, 2023; July 26, 2023; Aug 23, 2023; Oct 25, 2023

This training will cover the fundamentals of Business Objects and the steps to navigate in the new version to perform basic, intermediate, and some advanced tasks in BO. Each training will be broken into two sections: 

• The morning session, Business Objects Fundamentals and Intermediate Level, (8:30 – 12:00 PM) will cover how to get started in BO, where everything is now, through creating reports. 

• The afternoon session, Business Objects Advanced Level (1:00 - 4:30 PM) will cover more advanced topics like using Excel as a Data Source, Publications, Merged Dimensions, BO reports as a data source, Sub-queries, Combined queries and Scheduling report output to multiple destinations.

You may sign up for either the morning or afternoon sections, or both. You can sign up here for the sessions. Please note the afternoon section will not cover the morning material.

For Zoom: 

You will be sent a link prior to the class. This will be live and instructor-led with additional help available in break-out rooms if you need assistance. 

For In-person classes: 

This will be held at Arbor Lakes Building 1, 4251 Plymouth Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48105, in the North Dome. For in-person classes, please bring your own laptop and power adapter. Lunch and drinks are not provided. You can either bring your lunch or there are several dining options nearby. Arbor Lakes also has a cafe with some basic snacks, drinks, and coffee available for purchase.

Prior to training, please log into BusinessObjects and make sure you can access the “Super-Store” Universe.

If you sign up for any sessions and can’t attend, please cancel and let the ITS DISC Business Intelligence team know so we can fill your slot with someone from the waitlist. These classes are free and fill up fast; please cancel your reservation if you know you can't use it to allow us to offer the spot to another.

I notice that new Fundamentals and Intermediate Level sessions are scheduled starting in January, 2024.  Will there also be new Advanced sessions scheduled?
