Topic: Ad-hoc Networks for Multi-vehicle systems
Abstract: The design of autonomous multi-vehicle systems is an area
of increasing interest these days. We will discuss the UC-Berkeley
program in control and communications for these multi-vehicle
systems. In particular, we shall identify the networking issues in
these multi-vehicle systems and present some ad-hoc networking
protocols that we have developed. Our research has focussed on
automated service discovery and interfacing, data management,
geographic routing algorithms for mobile networks, and protocols to
create dynamic networks for dynamic teams. Of these we will present
the geographic routing algorithm for wireless ad-hoc networks in
detail. The presentation will include a description of the algorithm,
simulation analyses, and some aymptotic analyses of the storage and
communication requirements of the algorithm.
