Hello,

What are the main differences between Moo1.2.1 and Moo1.1 ?

I loaded firmware from https://github.com/ransford/umassmoo onto Moo1.2.1.
The Moo does not send anything back to USRP reader, although the reader sends query signals. My guess is that the firmware does not support Moo1.2.1.
Could Moo hardware discrepancy result in malfunctioning firmware ?
This firmware seems to support Moo1.1 and Moo1.0 (it has their schematics in the repository). And, it does not explicitly mention which versions of Moo are supported.

In principle, should the firmware for Moo1.1 work for Moo1.2.1 ?

Thank you in advance.

Besides a few obsolete analog components, the main difference be v1.1
and v1.2 of the Moo is the accelerometer. You should use the official
Moo firmware at https://github.com/spqr/umichmoo for the Moo 1.2.

Thank you, Matthew.

Can I attach battery to Moo ?
If so, is there a tutorial on how to do that ?

I loaded the firmware linked in your reply to Moo1.2.1. But, Moo still does not communicate with USRP1.
I am getting RN16 w/ Error.

Have you ever faced the same situation ?
I would appreciate if you could share your experience about solving this problem.

You can attach a battery or other power supply either using the power
pins on the programming header or at the super capacitor pads. You
will need to supply 1.8 to 3.6 V.

We do not use the USRP to communicate with the Moo; we tried for
debugging purposes, but stopped when it didn't work trivially.

Hello Matthew,

Thanks for your reply.
Then, what do you use to communicate with Moo ?

Soloing

Have you read all that is available at
https://spqr.eecs.umich.edu/moo/? See Section 2.2 of the tutorial
linked on that page. If you get the USRP to work, please let us know.
