I would like to share with you information about an upcoming flute concert!
I am the Community Relations Coordinator from Loring Theater on 14th and Nicollet in Minneapolis.
Mattan Klein, Israeli Jazz Flutist, will be performing on our stage Saturday, May 14th.
Mattan, who lives in Jerusalem, plays jazz fusion and Brazilian Jazz. He will be performing with a talented group of local musicians, Chris Lomheim, Kevin Rowe and Joel Arpin.
I know Mattan personally as he was here in 2008 to work with a group of kids studying jazz music. He is a terrific guy and a wonderful musician. He has played his flute with many different jazz bands around the world. He was a student at the Rubin Academy of Music in Jerusalem and then completed his studies at the Berklee College of Music in Boston where he was the first flutist to receive the Berklee Woodwind Dept. Achievement Award.
With a career of playing Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center in D.C. and the 92nd Street Y in NYC, we want to fill the seats at Loring Theater in Minneapolis!
I hope you will share this information with your students and come out to Loring Theater to hear him perform.
We have discounts available for students and for groups of 10 or more.
