Hi everyone,

Just a few updates from AMSA:

We will be jointly hosting a Bone Marrow Donor Registration Drive with UMDTC and ITASA on Monday, February 23, from 10am - 4pm in STAMP (Prince George's Room). We will need plenty of volunteers for this event, so sign up to help and get an easy on-campus service point! The form for volunteers is here: http://goo.gl/forms/vjpgKFJcl0.

All volunteers must attend a training session on Friday, February 20th, 8pm - 9pm. The training will be held in room 2203 of the Art-Sociology Building. During the training, a staff member from the Be

The purpose of this drive is to increase participation in the Be

Match Bone Marrow Donor Registry, which many patients with leukemia resort to when they need a bone marrow transplant. Unlike the blood drive, donors are not actually donating any blood on the day of the drive; they are simply providing a cheek swabs in order to join the registry so that these patients can have a better chance of finding a match.

You could be the person to save a life! If you are interested in being a potential bone marrow donor, please RSVP here: http://goo.gl/forms/IOICWlBKyh
NOTE: this is the link for donors, not volunteers! The volunteer form is above.

It'd be great if you could also help us spread the word about the drive!

Thanks everyone, and have a lovely Valentine's Day!

Sincerely,
Tiffany and Ashley
