Hey guys!
I hope you guys are enjoying your spring breaks! This email is to inform you about a pretty cool premed event called “PremedFest,” which will be held in Gainesville, Florida on April 11th and 12th. On this special occasion, National AMSA has partnered up with Kaplan Test Prep to provide interesting and engaging events and workshops among other activities. I took the liberty of attaching their full message:
“AMSA PremedFest. You’ve seen nothing like it. You’ve experienced nothing
like it. There hasn’t been anything like it. Until now.
AMSA PremedFest will not look, feel, or sound like any other premed conference,
because it is not a conference. It is, in fact, an unconference: a
deconstruction of the been-there-done-that form of the typical academic
conference. Instead, it is an academic festival, an emersive experience
designed specifically for premedical students, just like you. It will be a
celebration of the unique and shared journeys into the medical and health
professions.
The festival kicks off on Saturday,
April 11 with
Patch Adams, MD leading us in a discovery of the Joy of Caring.

programming:

Body – taking care of others starts with self-care
Spirit – joy in caring, health through laughter, connection through stories

The center of PremedFest is The Exchange – the festival marketplace of ideas,
resources, and services to help you succeed on your journey into medicine. Meet
med school admissions officers, academic advisors, wellness consultants, and
health advocates!
Plus, Professional Skills and Clinical Skills workshops on Sunday, April
12, in the morning!
