Thanks to everyone who came out to support us throughout AMSA week! We had a great turnout at the emergency blood drive, fundraiser, and suture clinic and we couldn't have done it without the help of all you wonderful AMSA members.

GBM #2: Dr. Jason Taksey, Medical Oncologist

Tuesday, March 3, 7-8 pm, STAMP Benjamin Banneker Room. 

Dr. Jason Taksey, M.D. will be here to discuss his career in the field of medical oncology. He'll also host a Q&A session so calling all pre-med students: come with questions and have a nice conversation with Dr. Taksey!

Central Union Mission: Serving Lunch to the Homeless

Saturday, March 7, 9:20 am - 2 pm (including transportation)

You will earn 2 service points for volunteering.  We will take the Metro to Central Union Mission Homeless Shelter to help serve lunch to the homeless. This is a great opportunity to give back to the community and to recognize the health disparities you will encounter as future healthcare providers. Only 10 slots on this trip, so sign up soon!  We will meet at the Regents Drive Parking Garage bus stop at 9:20am.
