Dear Go Players,
Just wanted to let you know that we’ve settled on a new schedule with Bump N Grind cafe for our club meetings. We’ll now be meeting from 6:00 - 9:00 pm on the first and third Tuesdays of the month, which are apparently much quieter nights for Bump N Grind. To make up for last week, we’ll be meeting this Tuesday 7/26. After that, we’ll skip the first Tuesday of August because I’ll be away and then meet again on August 16th. If anyone wants to organize a meeting on August 4th, give me a call and we can figure out how I can get you my go boards.
As you know, we are open to everyone, but we especially try to create a comfortable place for beginner and intermediate players to play and learn.
The Bump N Grind cafe is a short walk from the Silver Spring metro at 1200 East West Highway (410) about half way between Georgia Avenue and Colesville Road. There is plenty of street parking in the surrounding neighborhood (try Newell, Kennett, or Blair Mill Road). The Bump N Grind has a really nice laid-back atmosphere, serves all sorts of coffee drinks, beer, wine, sandwiches, and other food. It also has a regular DJ that plays good music (mostly vinyl), that can be pleasant in the background of our games.
So I hope you’ll come join us if you’d like to play, teach, or learn this great game.
