Hi Everyone - 

I wanted send out details of the Steps Camping Trip.

Location: Molly Brown Campground , Turquoise Lake, near Leadville  (Sites 15 and 11)

Dates: August 9 - August 11

 

This campground is located next to the lake in a shaded lodgepole pine forest at an elevation of 10,000 ft. It gets very cold at night so bring some extra blankets. There are pressurized water hydrants,and flush toilets at the park. Firewood is for sale at the campground but it would be better if everyone brought a bundle of wood from Denver. We are allowed 2 vehicles/site so we need to car pool as much as possible.

We also need RSVPs from everyone so we know how many to plan on. ( Also let us know if you plan on bringing a friend.)

Good afternoon! Hope you might be able to join us for a hike tomorrow after the Peniel service. We plan to depart at the conclusion of the service and head to the Maxwell Falls trail outside of Evergreen, Colorado. Before we begin our hike, we will have a quick car picnic at the trail head. Please pack a lunch, snacks and plenty of water! The Wilkins will bring hot coco and cookies for afterwards. The hike is moderate level (good for young kiddos) and leashed pups may join.

It would be great to carpool, so in your response please let me know if you need a ride OR if you are able to accommodate someone in your car! The Wilkins have room for one passenger.

The aspen report has been mixed, but hope that we will be able to see some fall color! Otherwise this is a great hike ending at a cascading waterfall.
