Tonight, instead of Crossing, we will be screening the Seoul Train
documentary! Sorry for the last minute change!
Seoul Train is a documentary that follows different groups of North
Korean refugees as they try to escape China and gain asylum in South
Korea. If they are caught in China, they are forcibly repatriated back
to North Korea, where they face human rights abuses ranging from labor
camps and torture to summary executions. The documentary features
interviews and underground footage of the activists and the refugees,
giving us insight into the underground railroad from North Korea
through China to South Korea.
Hope to see you all there tonight!
The documentary screening will be held in the Nanticoke room in Stamp
Student Union.
Doors open at 7:30 and the screening will start at 8!
Also, don't forget to drop by Yami Yami for some delicious sushi today
and/or tomorrow! 10% of your purchase will go towards LiNK's "The
Hundred" campaign, which aims to raise $50,000 to rescue 100 North
Korean refugees!
