Fellow Skywarners,

Today has been heavy with thoughts back ten years ago on September 24,
2001 when a multiple-vortex F3 tornado ripped through our campus and
took away the lives of two of our students, Colleen and Erin Marlatt.
As I paused today to remember these tragic events, I am also very
grateful to the support of the National Weather Service during that
period and the subsequent establishment of the Skywarn program on
campus in November, 2001. Your continuing commitment to this program
and public safety's establishment of our StormReady status in October,
2003 have made our campus a safer place today. My hat is off to all
of you for your support, and please, please, please help spread the
word to your friends and family to keep this program going!

Thanks,
Craig Carignan,
Dept. of Aerospace Engineering
