SUBJECT: Skywarn Basics I Class, Saturday, Feb. 19, 11 AM – 3 PM

Dear Skywarners:

Another year has passed, and our annual Basics I Skywarn class is fast
approaching! If you have not taken Basics I (or it’s been a while),
then you should definitely sign up. As always, the class is FREE,
runs about 3 hours, and is very visually oriented – and it will once
again include a pizza/soda lunch! As Skywarn grads, you are also our
best advertisement so we would really appreciate it if you could pass
along this announcement to any of your friends, family, or colleagues
who might be interested in taking the class.

In addition, please note that several presentations from previous
classes are posted online at http://www.atmos.umd.edu/~gcm/skywarn/skywarn.
However, the best place to find the most recent class presentations is
at the NWS website http://www.erh.noaa.gov/lwx/skywarn/presentations/.
We also usually offer an advanced class in the fall depending upon
availability of an instructor. Thanks again for helping to spread the
word, and you are always invited back for a refresher as the material
(and sometimes the instructor) is constantly changing!

Best Wishes,
