Hard as it is to believe, tomorrow begins the season of Lent with Ash Wednesday.  There are two special opportunities for you to observe Ash Wednesday tomorrow:

Ash Wednesday Breakfast and Communion.  7:45 a.m. Metropolitan Community Church (155 Wyllys Street, Hartford, CT, Ground Floor of the Colt Memorial Parish House).   This ecumenical service is sponsored by the churches of Hands On Hartford.  Join with other Christians from the Greater Hartford area for a meaningful start to your day.

Ash Wednesday Service. 7:30 p.m.  United Methodist Church of Hartford.  Gather in our sanctuary for our Ash Wednesday worship service.  Ashes will be offered and we will share in Holy Communion.

Also, this Sunday, as we begin Lent, we will welcome Paul Knopf.  Paul is an accomplished jazz pianist, a pioneer in the "sacred jazz" movement in New York City.  He has worked as a music director and composer in residence at several churches.  He has also recorded his own compositions and improvisations.  Paul will be participating some in worship, and after worship there will be a special concert in our Parlor.  Come out this Sunday for a special experience!
