I have moved us over to Google Groups, which will be much easier to
use and maintain. New users can still subscribe via a form on our
website, so let everyone know!
Rally Day is coming this Sunday! We have worked hard to promote the
event in the neighborhood and even in Saturday's Courant. Plan to
bring friends! We will have a special pot-luck fellowship time after
the service, and you are invited to bring a finger food to share. The
theme for the day will be "Walking with Jesus."
The Worship Commission is meeting after fellowship time tomorrow.
Also, at 6:30 p.m., meet up at the church for Holy Strollers, as we
will take a walk through the Asylum Hill neighborhood.
Next week, Adult Forum returns, with Pastor Bryan leading a special
series on the prophet Jeremiah.
The Board of Trustees are scheduled to meet on Monday, September 10,
at 7:00 p.m.
The UMW Executive committee is meeting on Tuesday, September 11, at
7:00 p.m.
The deadline for articles in the Epistle newsletter is Saturday,
September 15 - get them in ASAP.
Also, if you haven't thought of it before, think about joining our
choir this year. Leading worship is a very rewarding experience, and
if you can sing well, we can use your skills to celebrate God's love
each Sunday! Speak with Nancy Robbins, our music director.
