Update for September 24

Friends,

 

The church year is getting underway!  I know because we have a Church Council meeting on Tuesday. The Church Council is the primary executive body of the church.  We have several committees that work hard to get all of our work done, but the Church Council serves to oversee them all and make sure they are supported and resourced.  I am looking forward to a great fall meeting as we plan the remainder of the year.

 

Also, the October Epistle is almost finished and should be out to you this week.   There are many exciting opportunities and events planned for the fall, so I hope you will plan now!

Tuesday, September 25: Church Council at 7:30 p.m. in the parlor.

Wednesday, September 26: Book Group discussion of Gilead at 7:30 p.m. in the parlor.

Thursday, September 27: Choir Rehearsal at 7:30 p.m. in the parlor.

 

Sunday, September 30: Worship with us at 10:00 a.m.  Sunday School and Child Care available.  Adult Forum on Jeremiah lead by Pastor Bryan after fellowship.  Holy Strollers will gather at Don Ranger's home for a cook out at 5 p.m. 

Tuesday, October 2: Prayer Shawl Ministry at 5:00 p.m. in the parlor.  United Methodist Women dinner and program at 6:30 p.m. in Wesley Hall.

Saturday, October 6: Outdoor Tag Sale starts at 10 a.m.  Speak to Andy Holiday if you can help.
