Friends,
It's been too long since I sent out an update, but I got inspired
since a number of our summer events are getting ready to kick off, so I
wanted to send out an alert.
First of all, please join our
Stewardship Committee meeting
this evening at 7:30 p.m. If you are on the Stewardship Committee,
Trustees or Church Council, you are specifically asked to attend, but
if you would like to help, you are welcome to join our efforts. Our
hope this year is to make stewardship about much more than just money.
This Friday, the
West End Farmers' Market opens with it's FREE
Strawberry Shortcake Festival. Come next Friday, June 20th, from
4-7P.M. to the lawn of our church. There will be performances by Ken
Carter, jazz saxophonist, and also the Metropolitan Youth Choir. The
market will be open throughout the season every Tuesday and Friday from
4-7 pm.
Also, in July, our
Front Lawn Storytime program gets underway.
If you have a new or gently used children's book that you would like to
donate, speak with Dianne Antos.
I hope you are ready for an exciting summer!
