UMCFC Meeting Today - 7/27/11 @ UM TWP. Building @ 7:30

Hello All,

As I had mentioned in my email on Monday, let's plan on meeting today
at 7:30 in our usual place at the twp. building. Hopefully we can all
be there. Please plan on giving a progress report on the items that we
are working on individually. I think it's key that we nail down the
"menu" of foods that we feel that we can get together on our own for
this event. I know Daryl has put for something she is planning to
bring and many of us had ideas of what we could do last time, but I
would like to get them solidified.

Jill and Dan, I still need to get the dimensions of the Gazebo. Is
that available from anyone? Otherwise, I will have to bring a
measuring tape today and measure it. This is critical to possibly get
Spoken Hand to perform, because of their space requirements.

Hopefully, Mitali can give us an update as to how her dance
preparation is going with the groups of kids she is working with. I
will speak of trying to partner with the King of Prussia Players
(theater group) and using them as a partner and resource to raise
awareness of what we are doing. Also, they may be able to help us
reach out to other dance groups or performers for that day. After
discussing this today in our group, I am going to work on writing up a
description of us for their upcoming newsletter that goes out to all
of their members.

Please bring your ideas and energy tonight and hopefully, we can plan
on meeting once a week till the community fair on 9/10. The only week
I cannot make it is the week of Aug. 10th. If we meet weekly, I don't
think the meetings have to be very long. Your thoughts?

Please bring any new members with you to the meeting if they can
attend and i will get their contact info and add them to the group.

Is anyone still having problems using this forum? Please let me know?

Unfortunately, I will not be able to make to the meeting tonight but I am working on the etiquette document and I am also working on some ideas for the jeopardy. As for the menu I could bring in a Jamaican dish, Curry Chicken. I am waiting for the finalized Community Fair Flyer so I can begin to distribute a double sided flyer. Let me know if you have any questions.
