Dear All,

Thanks for all of the condolance messages for my wife, Hema. She thanks all of you for your thoughts and prayers.

Despite all of our efforts to participate in launching our Cultural Fair, I feel at this point, we should not proceede for the rescheduled date of this coming Saturday. Of all of our members, only three have indicated they can make it. I would have considered changing my plans for next weekend had we had more particapation. It is too large a mission and too large a physical task for so few to carry on. I suggest we regroup in a couple of weeks after everyone is available again and see how we can participate in some other forum sooner or how we start getting more people involved for the next fair. I am convinced that we need more people involved so that we can carry on an event in the future even if we face a rescheduled event like this time around. Also, in addition to hard work, we need a little luck.

I thank everyone for your time so far and do hope that we continue with what we have started. Those of you with reciepts, please hang on to them and let's give them to Dan or a township representative - I hope there is no problem getting reimbursed. Dan, can you chime in about this. The things that we have already bought, the testimonial books, flags, and special plates, etc. can still be used in the future. Susan, did you already take delivery of the fortune cookies? What is the shelf life?

I have a bunch of frozen food at home and I know some of you do, too. Hopefully you can share it with family and friends and use it up. Mitali, I know the kids that were preparing for the dance will be disappointed. Tell them to keep at it and they will dance for us in the future.

By the way, if anyone disagrees, and believes we should continue this weekend, please let me know and suggest how to manage it. I am open to anything you all have to share or suggest.

Let's keep using this forum to communicate.

Thanks,

Chet

I also think it's the right move. I also have no doubt that the work that was done for this year will absolutely benefit the Cultural Fair in future years.

Dan - since you're in this email can you notify the rest of the BOS and Ron.

Everyone, thanks for all of your hard work,
Greg
