The Community/Cultural Fair

Good Morning all,

 

I know there was some talk yesterday of possibly moving the date of the fair because of all of the rain. Can someone from the Township's end please email the group as soon as a decision is made. I need to inform Spoken Hand and Mitali will have to inform the parents of the two groups of young dancers that will be performing. Also, it effects many of us that are preparing food and have already bought it or started making it.

 

If things stay as they are, here is my understanding of the schedule tomorrow...

 

I will be at the field by 8:30 to start helping to set up tables and bring things in. Dan, Ashley and Jill, can you all ensure that those of us only the committee can bring our cars in and out of the parking lot. We will probably need to make mutiple trips.

 

Spoken Hand will arrive at 9:30 to set up - they will also need to be able to park behind the library.

 

The event starts around 10:30 with a couple of speakers or acts before Spoken Hand who will go on at 11am. When they are done at 11:15-11:20, Mitali's dance group will go on followed by Maria's young Chinese dance troup. Dan and Jill, it would be very helpful to have the portable stage set up. I don't want the kids who will be in costume to have to perform on the wet grass or concrete. If this is not possible, please let us know as soon as possible.

 

All of our performance events should be done by about 11:40-11:45 if all goes well.

Hello Everyone,

 

Due to the amount of rain and conditions of the field areas at the Township Building Park we are making the following changes to the weekend events:

 

**The Community and Cultural Fair will be rescheduled to Saturday September 17^th from 10am-2pm

        (Please note this is a change to the scheduled rain date out of respect to the 9/11 Memorial Service)**

 

 

Friday September 9^th

 

Outdoor Movie Under the Stars will now take place in the Township Building (Freedom Hall)

8pm start time

Featuring the movie “Up”

 

 

Saturday September 10^th

 

Big Red Run pre register at 7:30am and race begins at 8am

Location- Upper Merion Township Building Park Pheasant Road entrance.

 

Robert Clifton Dedication will take place as scheduled

10am- Meet at wheelchair ramp access to Upper Merion Township Building Park
