hi everybody,
hope u all voted well. this silence explains alot ...losers/winners||||. seems our lives are changin drastically over times, esp at the best of technology. Just wanted 2 find out from the group mail members, how do we derive our happiness these days?
A recent survey conducted by Coca-Cola known as the Coca-Cola Happiness Barometer, revealed that people do and will continue to value the basics of life including food, security, togetherness and simple luxuries. According to the Barometer, 71 per cent of Ugandans interviewed said they derive joy from food.
For other countries, Family brings the most happiness, followed by eating, chatting with friends and watching television. The study also found that people derive more pleasure from face-to-face interaction rather than phone calls and social networking.
Many times I hv observed on my Twitter timeline that social networkers meet finally after long time chatting on the social networks.infact a former yahoo group called Bidii Afrika has ended up successfully organizing for the members to meet physically for outings.
2de and in the near to medium term future, why cant we (OBs eg jerry, goerj and OGs eg becky, milbert of UMCBY) also organise one of such events? ... food for thought. The basic need is great satisfaction.
We need to share a little bit of our passtime. it is not surprising that walking clubs are also emerging. How about that? Aerobics, Capucinno, Enterprenuership clubs etc
