Hi All!

Just a heads up and big thank you for all your feedback - I've just posted a little screenr with some UX improvements based on your feedback:
1) Tree will no longer slide in if there's enough screen real estate (we'll remove the shadow when it's in fixed position)
2) Right click menu is back
3) Save/Publish buttons now placed at the bottom by the property editors. This also left room for an "Options" button showing the context menu
4) Less vertical space between property editors (we might even remove another 5px top/bottom)

Keep the feedback coming!

Best,
Niels...

Hey Niels

Firstly the improvements made are a great move in the right direction!

The vertical space between properties should be reduced again (as you suggest, I agree at least 5px top & bottom).
I think the Tree column space is much too wide and should be reduced by at least 20% - I'm not sure any node names will be that long and unidentifiable by the first x characters or sites go to 6+ levels very often.

The Save & Publish buttons should keep the top-edge divider when attaching to the bottom (overlaid over scrolling properties) to show the static edge of this surface over the editing underneath (white on white makes it difficult to discern this as a static overlay).

Would be interested to see an editing indicator on the node name in editing view (a pencil or a hover style of subtle input box style), as someone mentioned I think it is not all that obvious (although quick to learn).

Otherwise it's looking awesome - top work!

Cheers
Josh

These improvements are great!

One further suggestion would be to allow the right edge of the content tree to be dragged left/right to narrow/widen that panel.  This seems to be a very common UI pattern and would be very useful in this scenario.

Cheers,

Dan
