This affects us all and the environment around us.

Some feedback below from a member of our community.

[3:16 PM, 10/20/2020] 

I did a short recce of the river with Sanele from the community across the river to inspect the pipeline. Horror of horrors. In one place the pipeline crossing the river was broken with a section of the pipeline missing.

I'm not sure what was pouring into the river ... was discoloured ... could have been sewerage.
In another place the entire pipeline including the manhole had been ripped out by storm waters and deposited down river. Probably by the big rains we had two or three years ago. Here raw sewerage was pouring directly into the river.
 I reported the incident: reference number - again for your records - is F201020/1052.

Les sent out an inspector and I showed him the faults. All this has been very efficient. The inspector said he would escalate the incident.

I'm hoping that it will all be done this week. A lot to do and in quite an inaccessible area.
Anyway, a few more holes plugged. So this is just to keep you up to speed.
