Students,
I am beginning to place readings in the Files section of this group.
John and I consider these relevant readings for the summer research.
They should help you put into perspective some of the work we are
doing and the kinds of things we are thinking about with regards to
the Aguacate sites.
You are being asked to come up with a topic for a small research
project this summer, and we know that this is particularly hard to
do. However, we also know that it is incredibly rewarding to begin
thinking about past anthropologically. You can see that our focus is
on the socio-political organization of the Maya. But that should not
limit your studies and ideas.
Many of the readings you will find here are directly related to the
project; others are related indirectly. Feel free to add to the
library if you find something to share.
