Hey Valda,
So I think we are planning on setting up laundry the same way as last
year: you will be given a day once a week to drop laundry off either
to the staff or to the laundromat providing the service. The laundry
will then be ready for pick up the next day. That said, dont forget
a laundry bag I forgot one last year and had to buy one.
I see no harm in bringing your laptop, I actually recommend it. That
is how i keep in touch with family (skype and email). Other benefits
for a computer would be for lecture notes (if you prefer that
method), research for your paper, and finally when we are done
excavating we write up a condensed paper of what all was found at
each unit.
Using a phone in Belize is very expensive and you really have no need
for one. If you bring a phone and plan to use it i recommend buying
a phone card IN COUNTRY if you buy it in the US it will not work! I
brought my phone last year only so I could call family once i was
back in the US.
Hope this helps,
Emma
