TRAVEL AWARD
The National Association of Student Anthropologists (NASA), a section
of the American Anthropological Association, is pleased to announce
its competition for the 2009 Travel Award. This award provides
partial financial support ($100.00) to NASA members attending the 2009
Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, PA.
To be considered, students must submit a 300 word statement that
addresses what they see as the future direction of anthropology and
what NASA's role should be as we continue to support students in the
discipline. Graduate and undergraduate prizes will be awarded.
Deadline:
November 6, 2009
Requirements:
All applicants must be current members of the National Association of
Student Anthropologists. If you are not a member, you may join at
http://www.aaanet.org/sections/nasa/index.htm
Current or incoming officers and prior recipients of the Travel Award
are ineligible.
Procedures:
Please include your name, university, email address and student status
(undergraduate or graduate) at the top of your statement.
Submissions must be double-spaced, use 12-point font and be emailed as
either a .pdf or MS Word attachment.
We are unable to consider submissions that are longer than 300 words.
