On Thursday, November 13, 2008, between 4 and 5 a.m., there will be a
rolling outage of the university's telephone system. Sometime during the
outage window, customers will experience a momentary loss of dial tone.
Campus pay phones, contingency (Centrex) phones, and cell phones will be
unaffected.
This outage has been scheduled during off-peak usage hours to minimize
the adverse impact. During the outage, OIT's Networking and
Telecommunications Services will be upgrading switch equipment.
