Subject: Mail@umd Service Outage December 27-28, 2008

The Mail@umd e-mail system will be unavailable for approximately 18
hours beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2008 and lasting
until approximately noon on Sunday, December 28 while OIT staff members
perform system upgrades.

Users will not be able to send or receive e-mail messages during that
time. No e-mail will be lost during the outage. All messages received
while the system is offline will be delivered to inboxes as soon as
possible after service is restored.

We apologize for any inconvenience this outage may cause you, but hope
that the system improvements will contribute to your continued success.
