Introduction Message:
In Fall 2022, team members from units in the STAMP, such as the Student Organization Resource Center (SORC) and Event & Guest Services had the opportunity to hear the challenges many of our student organization leaders have been facing when it comes to planning on campus events.
As a step towards responding to this need for further support, relationship building and education around event planning on campus, we have designed an event for all student organizations. This event is centered on raising organizations awareness of the resources students have access to, where they live, who they can connect with and how to leverage these resources to host successful events on campus.
To make this event a success and help raise students' knowledge of the event, we need your help to get the word out.
Action(s) you can take to support student organization events:
Encourage 2 Students To RSVP: Many of us have direct contact with student organization leadership, and your encouragement to attend goes a long way.
Forward The Attached Email: Below we have included a pre-designed email just for you to pass along to your listservs, newsletter, and/or individual students.

Program Details:
The student organization events information social looks to introduce you to tips, tricks, and guidelines for student organization event planning at UMD.
Interested students should RSVP below, even if you are only able to stop by for part of the program, we would love to have you
You have two opportunities to join us, so pick the date and time that best works for you.
The experience is in-person, has free food and prizes!

If you are a student organization who is:
Looking to host events at UMD
Interested in learning more about event planning 101
Looking to meet on campus venue managers in person
Exploring ways to find funding for your program
Searching for space to host your next event
Any member of a student organization can participate!

Connect with a community of staff dedicated to helping you host successful events
