Hello UMD Observatory Friends,

The Astronomy Department is looking at revamping their website and is seeking input on how the community uses the Astronomy Department website. Many, many years ago, Observatory Friends were extremely helpful in updating the Observatory website and so we are hoping for the same thoughtful insight. Thank you for your time!

Clear Skies!

Dear colleagues,

Our web pages have served us well for many years and contain much valuable information, but their presentation is past due for a redesign. To get this project under way, we have convened the Department Web Pages Committee. We will make recommendations for the content, design, and underlying technology of the new website by the end of this semester.

Perhaps the most important aspect of the redesign will be the content of the new website, and how it is organized into menus and pages. And here we need your input! How do you, or would you like to, use the department website? What would you like to see improved? Please tell us by filling out this quick survey:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdlqs7_Fe1v5NJET4dtS9D3vvZUeYnFprYZEiSMUgfoOxStDA/viewform

The survey is anonymous and emails are not collected, unless you would like to provide your information.

Thank you very much
